Welcome to Chesterbrook School of Natural Learning! This is a place where children can spend their days learning, exploring and discovering the world around them. Exploration and outdoor play is important to a child's growth, health and development. Through our summer program children have been given opportunities to connect with nature and wildlife in their backyard. We are now ready to provide this same opportunity year-round.

Chesterbrook School of Natural Learning is a nature-based program centered on the principles of respect, responsibility and community. Children learn through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment. Their interests and the natural surroundings guide the curriculum. Our fundamental principles are derived from the Reggio Emilia Approach and encourage children to engage in meaningful early learning.
CSNL offers a curriculum that encourages healthy minds and bodies and the necessary social and academic skills children need as they prepare for kindergarten. In addition to our structured content and activity-based learning, children will have the chance to learn about gardening for food, composting, animals providing food for humans and ways to care for our environment. Additional activities will occur throughout the day that may include making paint, flower and vegetable gardening, constructing, food preparation and more. Each day your child will have a natural exploration time with and without structure or adult direction. This will allow time for your child to develop a deep, creative and imaginative play.
We are excited that you are interested in joining our program here at Chesterbrook and look forward to building our nature-based community.
